notes: Aigis ( or Aegis ) has a few different titles that he's accumulated over the decades, all being given to him at separate points.

Aigis is disabled. While he can stand up straight, he cannot walk and this is an issue has dealt with since his younger years. Putting weight on his knees and hips in the standing position is incredibly painful; medicine cannot mitigate it. Most of his time is spent sitting in a state of the art wheelchair he designed when he was younger. Its been modified over the years to better fit his back and hips and to also accommodate his short stature properly.

The divinity he received as a result of the LÆON Project is what lead to his disabilities. It was named as such after his species, 'Læonea'. They are a long lived species and can easily live up to two, even three hundred years. The project went dormant after the initial damage had been done, fearing backlash from the public. A hundred years later, it was revived and it lead to the development of the Tawny Spine.

He has two back braces that he wears in addition to the Tawny Spine, but those can be removed for comfort. He generally doesn't bother with them if he's in his chair and at home. Outside, he refuses to go without. Like his chair and his Spine, the braces are custom fitted to move with him and lock when needed to keep his torso stable. He has considered hip braces.

The original Tawny Spine was an extremely rudimentary device that was all external and it remains this way until 2001. It was designed for him in 1660. Nine more iterations followed initially in: 1690, 1730, 1789, 1825, 1932, 1990, 2001, 2020, 2035. The iterations from 2001-35 have all had internal additions and anchors. A completely new version was created and installed in 2041, final adjustments made in 2042. The procedures are painless although risky, but not enough to deter him from seeing it through. For it to qualify as a new iteration, core changes must be made such as its bilateral structure, framing, anchor types or faceplates ( what is seen on the outside ).

The current Tawny Spine is a series of metal plates embedded into his back. Its fused with his original spine and is also anchored to four different areas of his ribcage ( in the back, not the front ). Its a large piece that spans across the entire upper portion of his back, beginning at the base of his skull and is separated into different segments. It runs down to the hips' starting points and there, is no longer reflected on the outside. The Tawny Spine, despite its name, doesn't at all resemble a human or animal's spine.

Although this artificial spine essentially made it possible for him to function properly, it comes with its own caveats. The skin around the metal plates did not heal correctly the first time around, so what's left is an extremely rough and often irritated scar ( not currently pictured in his concept pieces, they can be seen in future detail shots ). Its the one thing keeping him from being confined, as he would otherwise be too fragile.

This augmentation cannot be removed without heavy risks and Aigis has elected to refuse any attempts should changes come about in the medical world. His present team of doctors agrees that its too dangerous and that its best he just leaves things as they are.

Aigis has a sickly pallor about him, not unlike what people imagine ghosts to be like. Pale, white as a sheet, no indicator that blood runs through his veins ( so unlike albinos, he doesn't have the pink/reddish hues often associated with them ).

His hair is plain and black, always kept up in a low, messy bun. He does periodically cut it, but upkeep is not his priority and so it will grow unhindered, sometimes, for years at a time.

He's incredibly wealthy; much of his money is old, reaching back several generations. Its unknown whether or not he has parents and its entirely up for speculation. There are no private or public known records that document their existence, if they ever did.
